Norður Blueberry Sea Salt is made from pure Arctic sea salt, harvested on the island of Karlsey in Breiðafjörður Bay, Iceland. This area is known for its shallow waters, small fjords, and rich natural environment. Norður & Co produces its salt flakes using a traditional method dating back to 1753.

Seawater is led into open evaporation pans, where the salt slowly crystallises using geothermal hot spring water. This sustainable process leaves no carbon dioxide behind, resulting in fresh, crunchy salt flakes with a clean, pure taste.

The blueberry sea salt is infused with juice pressed from hand-picked blueberries, giving the salt a gently sweet wild-berry flavour, a deep purple hue, and a striking visual appearance. The inspiration comes from the Icelandic autumn, when the landscape fills with shades of red, yellow, and green, and blueberry picking is a familiar seasonal tradition for many Icelanders.
